Position Overview
The People Operations Coordinator is the champion of our people. This role provides exceptional support to managers and employees across a wide range of HR and scheduling functions. You'll help attract, develop, and retain top talent while ensuring our Mission, Vision, and Values are at the heart of every process.
You'll handle employee data, reporting, recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, HR inquiries, and more-playing a key part in the smooth operation of our People Team.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Provide guidance on HR policies, programs, and procedures
- Support full-cycle recruitment for non-leadership roles
- Coordinate onboarding and ensure accurate employee documentation
- Assist with leaves, benefits, and pension administration
- Support grievance meetings, performance discussions, and documentation
- Prepare HR letters, reports, and maintain personnel files
- Maintain seniority lists, job postings, and HRIS updates
Staffing & Scheduling
- Create and maintain staff schedules in alignment with staffing guidelines and collective agreements
- Lead creative solutions to scheduling challenges
- Assist with the development and evaluation of HR and scheduling systems
Leadership & Team Support
- Role model effective communication and collaboration
- Join team celebrations and support department initiatives
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in department meetings and annual performance reviews
- Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- Uphold security of HR and organizational materials
- Assist with licensing and audits
Education & Experience
- Grade 12 diploma required; post-secondary education in office administration, records management, or a business-related field preferred
- HR diploma considered a strong asset
- Strong Microsoft Office and scheduling software skills
- Experience in long-term care or unionized environments considered an asset
- Combination of education and experience may be considered
