We are seeking detail and process-oriented individuals to join our new Operations team in Moncton, NB. The Operations Administrator will accurately process and support a range of banking operations transactions and activities providing responsive, timely and accurate support and service. This position will report to a Team Lead, Operations and work closely with the Operations teams in both Halifax, NS and Moncton, NB.
About the Team
Butterfield's Banking Operations team supports millions of financial transactions globally across all of our banking locations. Our customers include personal bank account holders, corporate and wealth clients. Banking Operations is a fast-moving environment, where quality and accuracy are at the core of the team's everyday activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing a range of scheduled and ad-hoc banking transactions with a high degree of accuracy while ensuring timelines and SLAs are consistently met
• Working in accordance with Bank and departmental standards, policies and procedures
• Preparing and processing wire payment instructions while coordinating with internal colleagues, custodians, brokers and other counter parties
• Maintaining and updating static data for the Bank's internal and external customers
• Preparing, tracking and submitting timely reports for periodic and ad-hoc tasks, as assigned
• Providing support to the investigations unit by researching and solving issues to ensure the timely resolution of any discrepancies
• Reconciling data, responding to queries and liaising with counterparties; following up with action as required, referring the most complex problems to the Team Lead, Operations
• Performing any other duties as assigned.
Your qualifications and skills include:
• Previous experience in a banking or financial services operation or service center
• Strong detail orientation and organizational skills with a focus on providing quality customer service
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to adjust working hours and to work some public holidays to ensure seamless service delivery across our locations
• Ability to process transactions with large dollar amounts, high volumes and confidential information with absolute discretion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications with ability to learn new technology and applications
• Previous experience working with core banking system, Electronic Delivery Interface and SWIFT network would be considered an asset
