Job Description

Clinical education is at the heart of nursing - and so are the dedicated professionals who bring it to life. Oulton College is currently seeking Bachelor of Science in Nursing - Clinical Instructors to join our Nursing Faculty. As a Clinical Instructor, you'll play a vital role in shaping future nurses, ensuring they graduate with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel in diverse healthcare settings.

What You'll Do:

  • Supervise and mentor nursing students during clinical placements in the Moncton area (long-term care and/or acute care settings)
  • Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and foster skill development in real-world environments
  • Support the integration of classroom learning with clinical practice
  • Promote professional attitudes and practices that reflect excellence in patient care

Requirements

  • RN roles:
    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing
    • Eligible for registration (active status) with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB)
    • Minimum of two years of recent and relevant experience as a registered nurse.
  • LPN roles:
    • Minimum of Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma
    • Eligible for registration (active status) with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN)
    • Minimum of five years of recent and relevant experience as an LPN
  • Previous experience teaching at an educational institute is an asset.
  • Ability to apply the theory, practices, and principles of adult education.
  • Demonstrated competence with the use of the interview, e-mail, and MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity.
