Position Type: Term
Duration: Dec 2025 to June 2026
Salary Range: $2,454.00 to $3,776.00 bi-weekly based on their experience and level of post-secondary education.
As part of the School of Trades and Apprenticeship and reporting to the Academic Chair of Building and Construction, you will be responsible for the planning and preparation of instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.
Specific instructional areas and courses within the program may include but are not limited to:
- Blueprint Reading Fundamentals
- Tools and Equipment
- Safety
- Trade-related Mathematics
- Communication and Employment Skills
- Rigging and Hoisting
- Trade Specific Theory and Practice
The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.
Education/Experience:
Certificate of Qualification as a Journeyperson (Red Seal) in either Plumbing, Welding, Carpentry, Electrical, Truck and Transport Service Technician, or Certificate of Qualification in Marine Diesel Mechanic.
Preference may be given to candidates who have a minimum of three (3) years of related, recent work experience at the Journeyperson's level.

- Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical ability, and innovative thinking.
- Self-motivated, service and results oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
- A desire for continuous learning and growth.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in a post-secondary environment.
