We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Product Development Specialist to join our R&D team. This role involves creating and testing prototypes, managing development timelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative food products to market. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in food science, culinary innovation, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute development plans and timelines based on product briefs.
- Create prototypes: procure ingredients, identify equipment, and prepare samples.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure materials are available for testing.
- Conduct analytical evaluations and sensory sessions for product development.
- Document sensory profiles and maintain accurate records in internal systems.
- Prepare reports, specifications, and external communication documents.
- Coordinate packaging and shipping of samples.
- Draft ingredient lists and Nutrition Facts Tables (NFT) for review.
- Obtain supplier quotes and request external lab analyses.
- Ensure compliance with strict hygiene and food safety standards.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum college degree, preferred University degree in Food Science, Food Quality, or Culinary.
- Understanding of plant processes and ability to execute trials in facilities.
- Familiarity with competitive product evaluation.
- Regulatory awareness and food safety knowledge.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Passion for food innovation and product development.

- Ability to list and evaluate solutions and make recommendations.
- Comfortable explaining ideas to other functional groups.
- Enjoys working collaboratively and building relationships with suppliers and vendors.
