We are a ship management and crewing company operating a diverse fleet of vessels-including DP shuttle tankers, harbour tugs, bulk carrier, cargo vessels, oceangoing tugs and barges, pilot boats, a Ro-Ro passenger ferry and a product tanker. In addition, we provide comprehensive crew management services to other vessel owners and operators

IT Support Specialist (1 year contract)

Start date: January 15th, 2026

What You'll Do:

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team on a full-time, one-year contract. You will support and maintain a diverse range of technologies across our head office and our fleet of vessels. This position is ideal for someone with a broad, well-rounded IT skill set who enjoys working with a variety of systems and solving unique technical challenges. Travel to vessels will be required

Key Focus:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support to office staff and vessel crews
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade hardware, software and network systems
  • Support onboard vessel technologies, including satellite communications, connectivity systems and end-user devices
  • Travel to vessels as needed for on-site maintenance, installations and support
  • Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including firewalls and VPNs
  • Assist with system installations, updates, documentation and backup management
  • Ensure reliable system performance and overall IT operational readiness
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors as required

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar technical role
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and common enterprise applications
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall concepts)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Familiarity with backup solutions and data protection practices
  • Ability to travel to vessels when required
  • Strong communication skills and comfort supporting remote users
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in marine or remote environments is an asset but not required
