Thermal Plant Operator

Key Responsibilities:
You will maintain power boilers, turbines and auxiliary equipment associated with a 500-megawatt oil-fired thermal generating station as per the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Regulations.
You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program and will be responsible for environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
What You'll Need:
You have graduated high school, and are a Power Engineer with a minimum third class certificate of competency, in addition to 5-7 years experience in an operating environment. Related experienced in oil-fired thermal generating plant, as well as successful completion of a three-year Mechanical Engineering Technology program (Power Engineering) from a recognized technical institute is considered an asset.
