Qualifications:
? Certification at the Journeypersons electrician level, experience working within the field of industrial power and controls would be an asset;
? Experience in the operation and development of a Preventative Maintenance would be an asset;
? Experience with building controls would be an asset;
? Experience working in a hospital environment would be an asset;
? Knowledge of basic electric distribution systems is required;
? Must have a valid class 5 drivers license;
? Must have experience in working with buildings heat and lighting systems;
? A clear certificate of conduct is required;

Duties (Included but not limited to):
? Responsible for the continuous maintenance and troubleshooting of building controls, electrical and instrumentation systems within the plant of the Labrador Health Centre, including primary voltage service, Emergency back up power generation systems, telecommunications, process and building control systems, and life safety systems;
? Repairs, calibrates and maintains sophisticated electronic equipment using schematics and instrumentation, intercom and nurse call systems, building controls, CMMS, boiler controls, ventilation monitoring system;
? Replaces defective components and wiring and adjusts mechanical parts;
? Aligns, adjusts and calibrates equipment according to specifications;
? Must have good written and oral communication skills;
? Good job planning and preparation skills will be required;
? Be willing to work overtime as needed;
? Some shift work will be required;
? Some travel, including to coastal communities may be required;
? Performs other related duties as required.
