Job Overview:
We are seeking a Legal Assistant to be based in our Elmsdale office supporting our work in estate law, trust planning and probate matters. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday, on-site opportunity.
As the successful candidate, you will rely upon your high level of professionalism as well as your education and experience to prepare correspondence and legal documents, communicate with clients and various outside agencies and offices, prepare and post legal accounts, calendar maintenance, scheduling and organizing.
Required knowledge, skills, and ability include:
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
· Proficiency in file management and document organization;
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
· Proven experience working in a legal office setting or related field;
· Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures, preferably in the areas of estate law, trust planning and probate matters;
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preference will be given to applicants who have successfully completed formal education in a reputable Legal Assistant or Paralegal program.

Salary is at least $46,000 annually and is commensurate with experience.
