The RBC Dominion Securities Vancouver Main branch located downtown is seeking an Investment Associate - Research Analyst to join a successful Private Investment Management Team. You will conduct thorough research and modelling on various investment opportunities for the team.

What will you do?

  • Researches and analyzes financial information to be used in making investment decisions
  • Analyzes financial and alternative information to produce forecasts of a specific company or industry
  • Collects and assembles financial data that affect security prices
  • Monitors fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments
  • Keeping models up to date on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Assist with quarterly updates and client letters

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional analytical and research skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with various research platforms
  • Ability to work independently

Nice-to-have

  • You are technically savvy. Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, R, VBA, C#, C++ or other programming languages
  • Fluency in foreign languages
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals; market conditions; and business needs.

The expected base salary range for this position is $100,000 – 150,000.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.0x base salary.
