As part of the Electrical team, the Construction Electrician works as part of a two-man crew interacting frequently with people in different trades on larger projects across the province. Responsibilities include installing, inspecting, repairing and maintaining safely, securely and efficiently the low voltage electrical systems in terminals, switchyards substations and telecommunication sites across the province.
Key functions include:
• Wire, pull and terminate cables in live substations and terminal yards.
• Install, inspect and repair grounding systems in terminals, switchyards and substations as well as build, install, inspect and repair low voltage electrical systems in terminals and substations.
• Support crew effectiveness through promoting teamwork, productivity, collaboration and mentoring.
The ideal teammate will have:
• Construction Electrician CQ
• Three years of post certification work experience as a Construction Electrician CQ
• A valid Class 5 Drivers License
An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
