The CRC' Quebec is seeking a Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Development Manager to join its Philanthropy Development team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Partnerships and Philanthropy Development, the incumbent will manage a team tasked with planning, coordinating, and implementing fundraising programs to support the CRC' philanthropic initiatives. They will be responsible for ensuring excellence in customer service and effective team operations, and wil foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement solicitation strategies aligned with strategic planning.
  • Identify, cultivate, and steward a portfolio of current and prospective donors through personalized engagement.
  • Foster collaboration between their team, including volunteers, and various departments within the Quebec division and the national office, to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and present compelling fundraising proposals to current and prospective donors.
  • Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, donor recognition initiatives and stewardship activities.
  • Oversee philanthropy operations, compliance, quality, data governance, and reporting, and ensure donor records are accurately maintained.
  • Measure fundraising initiatives effectiveness, make recommendations, and continually implement improvements.
  • Represent the CRC at external events and build and maintain relationships with sector partners.
  • Set team performance and development objectives, establish workplans, monitor performance and resolve conflict.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, and foster an inclusive work environment.
  • Contribute to workforce planning as well as budgetary, operational, and financial monitoring.
  • Assess team performance to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to deliver services, gather feedback, and manage expectations.
  • Support change management within the team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of fundraising projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with service standards, legislation and CRC policies; identify risks and recommend mitigations.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience and a university degree in business, marketing, philanthropy, or a related field.
  • Leadership and team management skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and manage performance.
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and database software.
  • Knowledge of best practices, trends, and issues in philanthropy, and experience developing donor relationships and/or executing fundraising campaigns.
  • Knowledge of ethical principles and as well as legal requirements related to philanthropy.
  • Project management skills to ensure successful delivery of programs, campaigns and events.
  • Ability to identify complex problems, analyze factors, assess risks, and develop solutions.
  • Communication and influence skills to harmonize differing perspectives and navigate sensitive situations.
  • Ability to work within a sometimes unpredictable work pace.
  • Ability to manage priorities.

Working Conditions

  • This is a hybrid position based in Montreal.
  • This position is permanent full time and offers a flexible schedule.
  • Domestic travel will be required.
  • The incumbent must be available during emergency operations.
  • This position may require working non-traditional hours to execute events and meet the needs of donors and volunteers, and during times of disaster or appeal.
