Venor is proud to partner with Adsum for Women & Children in their search for a Property Admin and Logistics Assistant. Adsum for Women & Children has been providing housing and support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity for more than 40 years. Their housing support services focus on helping people transition from crisis into safe, stable homes while addressing the root causes of housing instability.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide administrative and logistical support for Adsum's property portfolio, including units owned by and leased to the organization.
- Assist the Property Manager with lease preparation, renewals, terminations, and record keeping using Yardi Breeze software.
- Manage rent collection processes, track arrears, and work with tenants and their support workers to develop repayment plans.
- Maintain tenant records, generate reports, and ensure all data is accurate and accessible to staff.
- Coordinate property showings for prospective tenants.
- Oversee logistics for move-ins, including maintaining a stock of move-in kits and placing furniture orders in consultation with housing support workers.
- Arrange delivery and set-up of furniture, liaising with staff to ensure smooth transitions for families.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a non-profit or property management setting.
- Post-secondary education in business administration or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with property management software (Yardi experience is an asset).
- Experience in logistics coordination, inventory management, or administrative support.
- Knowledge of Nova Scotia's Residential Tenancies Act and an understanding of housing insecurity is an asset.
