Post-Harvest Technician

Jump Recruitment Specialists has partnered with krft in their search for a Post-Harvest Technician located in Georges Brook, Newfoundland.

As a Post-Harvest Technician, you will contribute to cultivating and preparing premium-quality cannabis through various production methods-with a focus on post-harvest procedures. This includes trimming of dried, cured flower, inventory management, support of cultivation practices, and regular cleaning tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cultivation, pruning, transfer and harvesting of vegetative and flowering cannabis plants;
• Bucking dried product and maintaining the drying process throughout the post-harvest cycle;
• Hand-trimming the dried, cured flower in preparation of packaging;
• Contributing to packaging procedures and inventory management while cannabis is stored on-site;
• Documenting all tasks, recording weights, tracking cannabis waste and verifying that all recorded information is accurate;
• Regular cleaning duties in compliance with all health regulations as they pertain to the requirements of a cannabis production facility;
• Reporting to the Post-Harvest Supervisor with any issue, questions or need for further direction.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working in and contributing to a team-environment workplace;
• Manual dexterity for use of trimming tools, such as scissors or shears;
• Attention to detail and ability to stay organized;
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as outlined in the training of employees;
• Ability to work in a team environment, taking direction from leaders;
• Initiative to take on work as needed to be completed.
