Job Title: Housekeeping and Laundry Aide

Location: Glenburnie, Ontario

Shift/Hours:

• 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Laundry: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Wage: $23.87/hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated solid communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate information to a diverse audience base.
• Demonstrated commitment to client/resident-centered service/care.
• Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills with the ability to function within a fast-paced environment, responding with flexibility to changing priorities.
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite of products (Outlook) and the ability to use other software applications applicable to the position (e.g., work order software and building automation software).
• Demonstrated understanding and commitment to health and safety policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.

Job Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Proof of Education (High School Diploma).
• TB Test valid within 1 year.
• Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector Screen valid within 6 months.
• Experience in housekeeping/laundry in an industrial or similar setting, an asset.
• Periods of time standing and walking.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Bending, lifting, reaching, carrying, gripping, pushing/pulling required.
• Required to work day, evening, and/or night shifts.
• Possible exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, or other undesirable environmental conditions.
