Position: | Temporary Full Time Healthcare Security Guard
Site: | Kentwood Park - 2 Ontario St, Picton ON K0K2T0
Hours: | Continental Days and Nights (08:00 - 20:00 | 20:00 - 08:00)
Pay Rate: | $20.00/hour
Overtime Method: | Ontario Averaging Agreement (AA) After 88 Hours
Internal Posting: November 6, 2025

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence
- Greet, assist, and direct visitors courteously
- Ensure the safety and security of clients, staff, and property
- Conduct proactive and reactive patrols (interior/exterior)
- Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed
- Complete detailed reports and investigations of incidents
- Monitor patients and enforce policies and by-laws
- Manage access control, keys, and perform safety inspections
- Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Valid Security License for Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
- Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.

- 1+ year Security experience an asset
- Healthcare security experience an asset
- Must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training
- Must be able to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
