The MHTS AMTU/PTT Technicians and CSPI operate support the Aircraft Maintenance Trainer - Upper, Part Task Trainers and the Training Tool Room. The AMTU/PTT Technicians and CSPI Operator are also responsible for performing device scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and operating the Training tool room. The AMTU/PTT Technicians and CSPI Operator support training events in many roles to include supporting DND instructors, loading lesson specific scenario data into T-CMMS and issuing equipment, materials and tools to students. AMTU/PTT Technicians and CSPI Operator are responsible for performing First thru -Third level scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions so as to ensure MHTC device availability to satisfy approved training schedule
Communicate constraints and issues with assigned tasks in a timely manner
Ensure customer satisfaction with contractor provided training support activities
Utilize CMHP Integrated Information Environment (IIE) services and enabling systems as required to conduct Training Support System (TSS) work. Systems include the Learning Management System (LMS), Scheduling Resource Management (SRM) and Performance Measurement Management System (PMMS)
Support MHTS Ops lead with inputs to new or revisions to Program Management Instructions (PMIs)
Articulate and communicate applicable thoughts and ideas in classroom and practical training event environments
Clearly articulate progress, problems, solutions, and other project/task related information as required
Produce clear, concise, accurate and well-organized documentation as required
Represent department and its position when and as appropriate
Maintain effective relationships with appropriate levels of the 406 (M) OTS and 12 Wing organizations
Understanding and appropriate use of Military customs and courtesies
Adherence to designated dress code
Adhere to all safety regulations within the MHP program to include: any/all safety directives, best safety practices, and mandated safety procedures designed for the safe and effective conduct of training and personal safety of personnel and equipment
Maintain the highest degree of professionalism and integrity
Maintain a courteous and respectful attitude with DND and the other members of the larger MHTC team
Devise workarounds ahead of time and work to avoid the need for such workarounds
Make timely decisions, both independently and with others, after a thorough evaluation of all relevant factors
Avoid negativism when dealing with any customer, either external or internal, be positive and affirmative in providing feedback of any kind to anyone and always maintain a respectful professional demeanor when dealing with customers, peers, subordinates and superiors
Operation of the Training Flight Tool Room
Interaction with DND scheduling personnel as required for schedule revision and development
Performance of MHTS and MHTC Training Flight Tool room tool calibration program
Support completion, submission and approval of the MHTS Acceptance Test Procedures
Provide status of all aspects of MHTS Operations related schedule status, work and issues to MHTS Ops Lead as required facilitating program status update
Support completion of Training Service MHTS Ops validation/verification activities
Understanding of Canadian Forces Individual Training and Education System (CFITES)
Knowledge and understanding of 406 (M) OTS operations and standard operating procedures
Be proactive and participatory in circumstances requiring instructional decisions, especially significant program/project situations
Maintenance of training environment "Virtual" aircraft and parts
Compliance with MHTS maintenance programs which includes tool control, safety training, fluid testing, network security compliance
Support training device modifications as required including review/revision of testing documentation development and conduct as appropriate
Maintenance of the MHTS spares/inventory to ensure device availability
Support MHTS Ops and Maintenance Lead as required on issues related to revision or maintenance of training device related configuration management data.
Proficiency in Electrical and Electronics theory, Schematic reading, Hydraulic systems theory, Simulation technologies, Electrical safety, proper Electro Static Discharge (ESD) practices
