The Opportunity

We're seeking a versatile Technical Writer / Adobe Captivate Developer to join our growing team. This hybrid role is critical to our continued success in delivering engaging, accurate, and regulatory-compliant training modules and process documentation. You'll work closely with subject matter experts, project managers, and illustrators to create content that simplifies complex technical processes for operators, engineers, and project leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive training modules using Adobe Captivate
• Write, edit, and structure technical content: SOPs, operating manuals, safe work practices, and process documentation
• Translate engineering drawings (P&IDs, cause/effect charts, electrical diagrams) into clear, accessible learning content
• Collaborate with technical experts and illustrators to storyboard and script training modules
• Ensure all training and documentation meet client requirements, industry standards,
• Manage version control, QA, and documentation updates within our project management workflows
• Contribute to knowledge transfer and documentation of internal processes
• Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience developing eLearning modules in Adobe Captivate
• Strong technical writing background, ideally in energy, industrial, or healthcare sectors
• Ability to interpret and simplify complex engineering documents (P&IDs, process diagrams, technical drawings)
• Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards (e.g., WHMIS, TDG, SOC2 compliance)
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and version control
• Experience with process mapping, storyboarding, and collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Strong command of English (French an asset)

Bonus Points

Animation, illustration, or graphic design skills (Adobe Illustrator, After Effects)

Experience with TMS/LMS platforms

Exposure to project management tools (Kanban, Scrum, Microsoft Planner)

Knowledge of Canadian energy sector operations or healthcare onboarding/training
