The Opportunity We are currently seeking a R&D, Strategy and IP Co-op Student to join our R&D Strategy and IP team in Toronto or Mississauga This is a fixed term co-op position, ranging from 8-12 months in duration, beginning in either January or May of 2026. As a R&D, Strategy and IP Co-op Student you will be supporting projects taht advance the priorities of the Research & Innovation (R&I) team. This role offers hands-on experience collaborating with technical experts, assisting in project management, and helping to document and streamline both business and technical workflows. Additionally, in this position you will:
  • Assist in managing research, technology and innovation projects by documenting and optimizing business and technical workflows to enhance efficiency and alignment
  • Support project planning, tracking milestones, coordinating deliverables, and ensuring timelines are met across cross-functional teams.
  • Gather and analyze data, map processes, and engage with stakeholders across different teams to support new technical innovation initiatives
  • Prepare reports, supporting the implementation of new solutions, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of project outcomes.
About You Education:
  • We are looking for students currently enrolled in the fields of Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, and Metallurgical Engineering or other mining-related disciplines
  • Business or business-related programs with an interest in innovation and strategy and engineering students interested in business or studying business related areas
