Title: Manager- EM Volunteers and PDA Operations

In this role, you will:

  • Provide daily management of EM volunteer and PDA activities, ensuring strategic alignment against workplans as well as regional and national direction.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Relief Operations to ensure coordinated volunteer management
    and, as required provide support for large-scale activations.
  • Ensure financial compliance with funding agreements, operational budgets and reporting requirements.
  • Set team performance objectives, establish workplans, monitor performance, resolve conflict, and provide coaching.
  • Contribute to budget planning, operational plans, and proposal development.
  • Analyze team performance to improve operations, set objectives and implement action plans.
  • Monitor compliance with service standards, legislation, and CRC policies; recommend mitigations.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualifications include a minimum of 4 years of experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree.
  • Individual is required to reside in or be prepared to relocate to Yukon.
  • Supervisory or management experience including volunteer engagement with an ability to manage performance, resolve conflicts and engage employees.
  • Strong program/service management skills, including needs assessment, issue and opportunity identification, planning, implementation, monitoring.
  • Knowledge of performance measurement, impact evaluation, and data analysis to assess program effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to influence others with shared interests, gather perspectives, understand needs, and present information to reach consensus, often in somewhat sensitive situations.
  • Fluency in English is required; French is an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Role has requirement to live in Yukon with travel within territory as required.
  • Will be working primarily in an office environment when not deployed to an emergency response operation.
  • Some domestic or international travel in generally safe environments.
  • Some travel by vehicle may be required.A valid driver's license is required.
