WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This position is the Senior Manager responsible for the Investor Services Business Technology (IS BT) Planning function. As Planning lead the role is responsible for effectively managing the segment financials including NIE plans, headcount, T&O recovery, prioritization & providing financial reporting and insights for Executive decision making. The position is responsible to manage key strategic project deliverables that support the overall strategy of the IS BT function
The position is also responsible for managing the IS BT Target Operating model, working with the Director of IS BT Business Management and Head of IS Business Technology to set strategic priorities, targets, savings and reporting on the progress of the operating model objectives
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Lead the annual Planning process
Lead IS IT Finance Control reviews and audits of capitalization
Executes activities related to financial governance, support and reconciliation including invoice processing and tracking, Statement of Work / Work Authorization and contract oversight and governance, spend reporting reconciliation and expenditure tracking
Leads management of the Headcount plan, ensuring effective governance, reporting on MoM changes and variations to Plan
Provide direction on project, program and initiative financial tracking and standardize the Development and Maintenance work program planning.
Deliver accurate and timely analysis and streamlined reporting
Proactively identify & implement improvement ideas that generate savings/efficiencies/simplification/accuracy
Manages IS BT Planning team within Business Management Group
Ensures employees understand RBC vision, as well as supports and reinforces targeted behaviors that contribute to RBC goals.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
Undergraduate degree coupled strong financial and analytical experience
Project management experience
People management experience
Strong stakeholder interaction and management
Track record of successful technology driven deliveries
Strong verbal & written communication / collaboration skills
Proven experience with Microsoft Office suite
Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice-to-have:
Experience with Wealth Management and/or Technology organizations
Audit or regulatory experience
Project management certification
Investment banking environment experience
Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
