Job Description
What is the opportunity?
As an Associate Director, Executive & Event Protection, you will be responsible for the end- to- end management of security programs for RBC employees, executives, and clients.
You will be required to support executives in their day to day activities as required, providing escorts and security guidance to the C-Suite. You will become a trusted partner with event planners across the organization ensuring security plans and procedures are implemented to address risks to the event, staff, and clients in attendance.
What will you do?
- Conduct review, assessment, planning, consultation, and guidance on security issues to designated executives and employees as part of RBC's Executive and Event Protection Standards & Guidelines
- Provide Event Protection as required for RBC events globally
- Provide oversight for RBC Executive floors and associated staff
- Partner with Event Planners enterprise wide to ensure risks are identified and mitigated
- Provide depth of expertise, skills, source of knowledge on current & emerging Security issues, attack methods, threat response and mitigation techniques
- Provide Security Training to various areas in the Bank and Executive Families on Security topics as needed
- Support RBC events, frequently outside regular business hours, requiring flexibility, often with little notice.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 2-5 Years of close protection experience
- Experience with conducting risk assessments on large scale events.
- Proven examples related to the development of comprehensive security plans
- Post Secondary Education in related field, or demonstrated commensurate work experience
Nice-to-have
- Financial Institution experience
- CPP or other internationally recognized accreditation related to the role.
