Service New Brunswick is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join its Technology Services Division within the Health Application Services unit as Supervisor with the Horizon Clinical and Community Care Team.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Manager of Health Application Services, you will supervise a dynamic team responsible for the delivery, maintenance, and support of a portfolio of health systems used by stakeholders across the province. Many of these applications are critical to patient care and clinical decision-making.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing guidance, training, coaching, and mentoring to build and sustain a high-performing team.
  • Supervising, organizing, and prioritizing project and task workloads, assigning work to the most qualified individuals.
  • Evaluating team members to support their performance, professional growth, and development, including identifying training needs and creating work plans.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders, end users, and internal GNB and SNB teams to provide leadership and direction as required.
  • Using data analytics to assess processes, identify requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A university degree in Business Administration or Computer Science and a minimum of six (6) years of progressive related experience with a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered, or the required years of experience may be increased. In the event there are no candidates who demonstrate the essential qualifications required for the PB6 level, we may consider appointing at a lower classification.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Proven leadership skills to mentor, motivate and provide guidance to team members
  • Demonstrated data analysis experience
  • Demonstrated experience with the health care environment
  • Experience with the principles of project management, problem solving and change management
  • Experience leading a dynamic team in a demanding work environment

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position may require some travel, and you must possess a valid driver's license.
  • This position requires periodic flexibility in working hours, which includes evenings and weekends, and will participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.

Salary: $77,766 to $103,454 annually – Pay Band 6 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
