Hatchery Manager - Buckman's Creek Hatchery

The Role

We're looking for a motivated and dedicated professional to join our team as the Hatchery Manager at our Buckman's Creek location in Pennfield, NB, an exciting opportunity to take on a key leadership role within our company

Primary duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Responsibility for the daily operations and production of fry and smolt at a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) facility.
• Meeting quality standards and timelines for fish production.
• Foster a culture of safe work and environmental sustainability.
• Lead and direct the team members, manage schedules, and activities.
• Submit payroll, invoices, fish inventory, environmental reports as required

Qualifications/Requirements/Attributes:

• Experience managing or leading teams at a salmon hatchery.
• Possess a strong background in general operation and maintenance of life support equipment.
• Experience leading production activities, including feeding, grading, vaccination, and fish transport.
• Strong background in fish health and husbandry.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and work under pressure to meet timelines.
• Organized
