The Role
We're looking for a motivated and dedicated professional to join our team as the Hatchery Manager at our Buckman's Creek location in Pennfield, NB, an exciting opportunity to take on a key leadership role within our company
Primary duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Responsibility for the daily operations and production of fry and smolt at a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) facility.
- Meeting quality standards and timelines for fish production.
- Foster a culture of safe work and environmental sustainability.
- Lead and direct the team members, manage schedules, and activities.
- Submit payroll, invoices, fish inventory, environmental reports as required
Qualifications/Requirements/Attributes:
- Experience managing or leading teams at a salmon hatchery.
- Possess a strong background in general operation and maintenance of life support equipment.
- Experience leading production activities, including feeding, grading, vaccination, and fish transport.
- Strong background in fish health and husbandry.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and work under pressure to meet timelines.
- Organized
