Location: Woodstock
Salary Range: Maintenance Repair Worker ($24.42 per hour) and Storekeeper ($24.14 per hour).
You will be reporting to the Facilities Manager and in this role, you will be expected to perform the duties of Maintenance Repair Worker (50%) and Storekeeper (50%) within the designated hours of work.
Maintenance Repair Worker:
This is a semi-skilled to skilled maintenance and repair work in buildings, mechanical, and electrical occupations.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with facilities maintenance of a routine nature involving carpentry, plumbing and electrical work; interior/exterior building repair.
- Routine maintenance of heating, ventilation, refrigeration and boiler systems.
- Assisting trades people on some repair and maintenance work, maintaining construction materials inventory and estimating costs of jobs.
- Snow removal and grounds work as required.
These job duties represent only the basic duties of the job. Related and allied duties may be assigned from time to time as they become necessary to the operation of NBCC.
Storekeeper:
This is an administrative and manual work position involving tasks of receiving, storing, shipping, care and control of materials, requisition generation, and inventory control.
Responsibilities include:
- Receiving, unpacking, checking and recording receipt of goods manually as well as on computer systems.
- Initiating requisitions for replenishing stocks.
- Cleaning and maintaining assigned areas in a neat and tidy condition.
- Performing related work as required.
- Transporting of individuals, supplies, construction material, mail and refuse.
- Loading/unloading of vehicles and performing the necessary manual operation in connection with material being hauled.
- Maintaining simple records of quantities delivered and picked up.
Regular hours of work are based on a 40- hour work week. Additional overtime and weekend work may be required..

Education & Experience:
- Completion of high school or GED, and 1-3 years' experience at the semi-skilled level in the building, electrical and/or mechanical occupations; and 3-12 months of experience in shipping and receiving; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Time-management and multitasking abilities.
- Physical strength and stamina.
- Organization skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- WHIMS certification, Fall Arrest and Forklift training will be provided by employer.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
