Product Analyst, Group Annuity (Contract)

What is the opportunity?

The Group Annuity team is looking for a new member to join our team to influence product strategy, contribute to high-impact projects and support insights into the business. This role will also play a crucial part in strengthening connections within data systems and support the vision of scaling the business. With these efforts, we will drive forward to support the strategic goal of maintaining our position as one of the top players in the Canadian group annuity market. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, solution-based, communicates well and thrives when working on a close-knit team. There is a strong likelihood of the position being converted to a permanent role.

What will you do?

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline our data processes and improve efficiency

•Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including enhancing communications materials, documentation of processes and plan provisions

•Develop innovative solutions to enhance how we handle large amounts of data and data capabilities

•Create tools to support clear visualizations and insightful business analysis to identify trends

•Address and resolve data integrity issues to maintain high data quality

•Provide support to ensure proper administration of placed deals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

•Undertake projects and learn concepts outside of your current expertise to meet the evolving needs of the organization

What will you need to succeed?

Must Have

•Degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience

•Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook

•Database Management, Power Query, SQL and Tableau

•Script development using languages such as VBA, Python and R

•Solid technical and analytical skills with strong problem-solving ability

•Adaptability, willingness to learn and expand current skill set

•Strong written and verbal communication skills
