Salary range: $48,210.27 to $59,117.52 annually
This is a regional role with a primary work location at either Strait Area Campus or Pictou Campus. Regular travel between both campuses within the region will be required.
Reporting to the Manager, Student Services, with functional guidance from the Director of Ancillary Services, you will:
- Provide administrative support for the planning and delivery of campus events and activities within the Eastern Region, supporting the regional management team.
- Support the coordinator of college-wide signature events such as Orientation, Open House, and Convocation, ensuring they meet institutional standards.
- Support the coordination of conferences and summer camps.
- Manage event logistics, coordinate event communications, support event documentation, and liaise with internal department and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with College policies, track event activity and revenue, and contribute to the promotion of campus services.
- Act as the on-site coordinator for events and as such, it is expected that you will be on-site to support events.
This role requires flexibility for evening and weekend hours, along with travel within the Eastern Region. As a result, regular working days and hours may adjust based on scheduled events.
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a College certificate or diploma in a related field such as Event Management, Public Relations, Community Development or Tourism. 
- Certification in Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP), and/or Certified Professional in Catering and Events (CPCE) would be considered an asset. 
- You have a minimum of three (3) years (full time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in event coordination, event bookings and rental agreement preparations. With specific experience in working with internal and external clients and collaborating with organizational departments. 
- You have financial experience such as processing DPO's and coordinating activities which result in financial commitments, obligations or costs. You have some previous responsibility for handling contracts and/or purchase orders. 
- Experience with event management software would be considered an asset. 
- Excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.

- You show a strong commitment to community involvement.
