Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining production systems for cutting-edge projects. This fully remote position invites candidates from Montreal, QC or Nova Scotia, and offers the flexibility of a long-term contract with the potential to transition into a full-time position.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain production systems utilizing React / Next.js, Node.js, and serverless back-ends.
• Build and manage Kubernetes environments (GKE / EKS) using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Enhance performance, reliability, and CI/CD workflows across multi-cloud deployments (AWS + GCP).
• Collaborate with a small, senior engineering team distributed across Canada and the U.S.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, monitoring setups, and troubleshooting in production.
• Work closely with product and design teams to deliver secure and scalable user experiences.

• Frontend: React, Next.js, TailwindCSS
• Backend: Node.js / TypeScript, Serverless (Lambda, Cloud Run)
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions
• Databases: PostgreSQL (ClickHouse a plus)
• Cloud: GCP + AWS hybrid environments

About You

• 7+ years of professional experience in full-stack or DevOps-focused software engineering.
• Proficient in leading end-to-end deployments and mentoring team members.
• Exceptional communication skills in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
• Thrives in an autonomous, ownership-driven, startup-like pace.
• Located in Canada, preferably in the Nova Scotia or Montreal region.
