Definition of work:
Reporting to the Zone Director of Pharmacy Services, this position is responsible for the management, coordination, and operational leadership of Pharmacy Services at Central NL Regional Health Center, James Paton Memorial Health Care Center as well as other rural sites. Working collaboratively with the pharmacists in charge, the manager is regionally responsible for organizing and managing a full range of clinical and distributive pharmacy services. This position ensures that consistent standards of practice and policies and procedures for all clinical and distributive pharmacy services provided by Central Health are followed. Participation in various committees and regional travel are expectations of this position. Working closely with the Regional Director of Pharmacy Services, this position is jointly accountable for pharmacy?s financial management including budgeting; participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of Pharmacy Services strategic directions and objectives as well as process improvement projects; human resources management including scheduling, performance reviews and attendance management. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centred care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.

Required qualifications:
? Graduation from an approved School of Pharmacy
? Successful completion of Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada National Exam.
? Current registration and licensure with the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board.
? A minimum of 3-5 years? experience within the last 7 years in a hospital pharmacy environment with experience in managing projects of a complex nature.
? Demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities related to pharmacy services/operations including clinical, distribution, and budget management.
? Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills as well as an ability to work effectively in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
? Ability to manage and direct continuous improvement and quality processes.
? Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills focused on supporting, empowering, and engaging members of the team.
? Demonstrate critical thinking skills and innovation in problem solving and decision making.
? Strong conflict management skills.
? Ability to work with a high degree of independence and initiative.
? Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
? A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
? A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority

Preferred qualifications:
? Master?s degree in health administration, Public Administration, Business or a related field
? Previous management experience
