The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Program Controller – PMO to join our Information Technology team in Toronto.

This is a permanent on-site position.

As a Supervisor, Program Controller – PMO you will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight, coordination, and management of IT programs within the organization. This role ensures that all projects under the program umbrella are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Your experience and skills will act as a bridge between various stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external vendors, to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Develop detailed project plans with timelines and resource allocation. Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and best practices. Provide technical guidance, review designs, and support adherence to architectural standards.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, foster collaboration, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders through meetings and progress reports.
  • Manage organizational changes, implement change strategies, and monitor program performance using key metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee program budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective delivery, contract negotiation, and issue resolution.
  • Utilize project management, collaboration, and data analysis tools. Maintain documentation, ensure compliance with standards, and drive process improvements.

About You

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT program or project management.

Skills:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT programs.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
