Number of placements: 1
Salary: $18.00/hour
Hours per week: Flexible (around 20 hours)
Placement Duration: January - April 2026
Department: Post-Secondary Education Training and Labor (PETL)
Placement Description: The Policy, Research, and Labor Market Analysis Branch is responsible for advancing the Department's strategic policy direction while ensuring alignment with government priorities and initiatives. This placement will provide the student with experience in preparing research and policy options, developing Memoranda to Executive Council, and creating briefing materials to support informed decision-making. This will involve working collaboratively to support branches of the department with program and policy changes.
This role offers an opportunity for skills development and hands-on experience.
Need to have:

  • Language requirement: English or French
  • Studying in Business/Public Administration, Social Sciences, Arts or related discipline

Nice to have: Related work experience would be considered an asset. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and solid planning and organizational skills.
