We are seeking a permanent, full-time experienced Junior Corporate Paralegal to join our Saint John office.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and file annual returns and resolutions;
- Updating corporate minute books with various documents and filings;
- Conducting corporate due diligence searches, including but not limited to Bank Act, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, Worker's Compensation Board and Labour Standards;
- Obtaining certificates of good standing and copies of corporate registry documents;
- Maintain detailed and accurate client and administrative files;
- Meet deadlines, ability to multi-task and reprioritize; and
- All tasks must be performed with a high degree of detail and accuracy.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Spoken and written proficiency in English is a must;
- 1+ years of corporate legal assistant experience;
- Legal Assistant or Paralegal diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution considered an asset;
- Above average proficiency in Microsoft applications;
- Excellent analytical skills, detail oriented; and
- Superior organizational abilities and time management.
