What is the opportunity?

RBC Wealth Management directly serves affluent and high net worth clients in Canada, and throughout the world with a full suite of investment, trust and other wealth management solutions. We provide asset management products and services directly and through RBC and third-party distributors to institutional and individual clients through its RBC Global Asset Management division, and have more than $490 billion of assets under administration, nearly $240 billion of assets under management and more than 4,500 financial consultants, advisors, private bankers, and trust officers.

We have a long history offering multi-manager investment solutions. Through RBC Dominion Securities, this is being expanded to include a unified managed account.

What will you do?

  • As Portfolio Analyst with the RBC DS A+ Overlay team, you will review client accounts ensuring they are profiled and being managed to set targets

  • Review instructions from the front office and implement portfolio changes in an accurate and timely fashion

  • Generate reports to verify security pricing accuracy, model data and trade reconciliation

  • Work with various head office groups to obtain information necessary to complete trading requests

  • Support other team members on group projects and/or in times of high-volume periods

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Trading experience along with a good understanding of equity, mutual funds, hedge funds, as well as fixed income products including GICs, bonds, convertible debentures, and preferred shares

  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel including experience working with macros and pivot tables, order entry, BTS/Broadridge, Berton, TradeLink

  • Post-secondary education in Commerce/Finance/Economics/Mathematics

  • Completion of CFA Level 1 or higher

  • Highly detail-oriented

Nice to Have

  • Extensive experience and knowledge in the investment industry, along with experience in working with sub-advisors within a multi-manager offering

  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated presentation skills
