What is the opportunity?

Shareholder Services is responsible for maintaining the records for investors of various Investment Companies that offer investments such as Pooled Funds, Link Notes, Hedge Funds, Asset Allocations and Mutual Funds. Along with maintaining records, reporting is provided to unit-holders, all in accordance with government policies, tax laws and national policies.

This a great opportunity where you will learn the business requirements and processes of new clients and existing clients on the Record Keeping system, Unitrax in Shareholder Services. You will be collaborating with internal stakeholders and bridging the gaps between the clients and RBC IS teams to solution the client's need and you will assist in setup and support in implementation.

What will you do?

  • Review of client's prospectuses, Offering Memorandum (OM) and business requirements to support new onboarding clients and new and on-going fund launches for Shareholder Services Systems.

  • Funds setup of Mutual, Linked notes, Segregated funds, Asset allocation models

  • Ensure the clients investments set up and table maintenance of the record keeping systems are kept up to date and accurate.

  • Funds setup of Mutual, Asset allocation, Linked notes and Segregated funds

  • Manage tasks/projects from end-to-end for special Fund Events - fund mergers, fund terminations and Dealer Cusip rollovers for Shareholder Services.

  • Client facing to work with our clients and internal partners to ensure all requirements are gathered upfront for Shareholder Services.

  • Ownership of Documentation Operating Procedures for new/conversion clients.

  • Day-to-day research & resolution of problems affecting operations units

  • Effectively liaise with the system Vendors to provide timely and accurate support to our Business Partners.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Post Secondary Education

  • 5 years' experience in Mutual Fund Industry

  • Strong knowledge of the Unitrax, existing functionality, table and schedule structure,

  • query functions, daily jobs etc.

  • Knowledge of link notes, segregated /insurance funds and ESG/FundSERV

  • Analytical thinking / problem solving and testing productions issues

  • Must possess excellent communications (written & oral) and presentation skills.

  • Organizational skills to work with various stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Completion of the Mutual Funds Operations Course recommended
