What is the Opportunity?
As a Regional Vice President, Group, you will be responsible for driving growth and retention opportunities while focusing on achieving sales targets for the Province of Quebec and certain regions of Atlantic Canada. Your key objectives will include championing RBC Insurance's strategic priorities, identifying market opportunities, and leading a skilled and engaged team of Sales Consultants to deliver on strategic initiatives by providing exemplary Group Benefits Insurance solutions through our independent brokerage partners. In this dynamic role you will focus on driving business performance, operational efficiency, employee engagement, and client satisfaction, while creating long-term value for shareholders. Additionally, you will collaborate with head office partners and champion cross-functional partnerships to bring comprehensive solutions to clients.
What will you do?
- This role has overall accountability for developing and executing regional business plans to achieve Group Benefits insurance sales and revenue targets and ensuring the team is aligned to deliver on sales plan expectations
- Ensure Sales Consultants build profitable Group brokerage relationships, leveraging insurance planning and advice capabilities to achieve business growth goals and revenue plans
- Manage performance through structured coaching and development of Sales Consultants to increase employee capability and engagement and successful execution on regional priorities, while embedding a proactive ethical sales culture.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key account partners and industry segments by promoting the organization and developing strategic partnerships to drive business growth and expansion.
- Build market awareness and acquire new clients through community engagement, events, and leveraging external Centre's of Influence (COIs).
- Ensure team compliance with licensing, continuing education, risk management, and ethical sales practices.
- Lead change initiatives, communicating vision and strategic priorities effectively to all team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, skill development, and high performance.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- College/University degree or equivalent LLQP License/GBA or willingness to complete
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
- Prior experience in Group Benefits in leading a diverse team to achieve business results with bottom line accountability
- Proven experience in talent management including networking, assessing and hiring qualified talent in the market, and succession planning
- Strong business acumen and execution skills with the ability to translate strategies and business plans into action and outcomes
