Job Information and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Philanthropy, the Campaign Associate will:
- Administrative Support: You'll assist the Director of Philanthropy with day-to-day administration, including scheduling meetings, drafting meeting materials, data entry, metric tracking and reviewing campaign reports.
- Event Coordination: You'll play a key role in donor engagement, campaign cultivation, stewardship, and event logistics. This involves completing project briefs, identifying and developing invitation lists, drafting follow-up strategies, and assisting with overall event logistics.
- Fundraising Communication: Effective communication with other university departments is essential. The Campaign Associate collaborates with colleagues in Advancement & External Affairs and across campus to ensure alignment and successful campaign execution.
- Database Management and Reporting: The Campaign Associate actively participate in developing and implementing fundraising strategies and data-driven decision making. This includes analysing donor trends, identifying opportunities and contributing to campaign planning and goal.
- Prospect Research: Identifying new funding prospects is a core responsibility. The Campaign Associate conducts research to uncover potential donors, assesses their capacity and strategizes engagement opportunities.
- Gift Chart and Pipeline Development: The Campaign Associate supports the ongoing development of the campaign gift chart and prospect pipelines. This includes tracking campaign prospects and secured gifts, as well as maintaining prospect and pipeline reports for campaign forecasting.
- Additional duties as required.
Experience and Education Requirements
To be the successful Campaign Associate you will have:
- Community College business course/diploma, or equivalent, bachelor's degree considered an asset.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in a development/fundraising office preferred.
- Team Player with strong collaboration skills are essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Organizational Agility: Managing and prioritizing multiple tasks effectively requires organizational finesse.
- Goal Oriented: Thrives in a team-oriented environment with shared goals.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is expected. Familiarity with SharePoint, fundraising technology platforms and other technology products is advantageous.
