Job Summary
The Adult Rehabilitation, Geriatrics and Palliative Care Program of the Eastern Urban Zone of NL Health Services (NLHS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced health care professional with a collaborative management style to join its leadership team.
This position is primarily responsible for the Rehabilitation Day Services Division, which includes Day Hospital and Outpatient Services, and also provides oversight for other areas of the program as needed. Working closely with the Director, physicians, and staff, the Division Manager ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and optimal program outcomes.
The Division Manager provides leadership to interprofessional teams that deliver specialized rehabilitation services to complex patient populations, including individuals recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, degenerative neurological diseases, and those adapting to prosthetic limb use. As part of the program?s leadership team, the Division Manager is expected to contribute to broader program deliverables. The position is accountable for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient and client services, as well as human resource management, including recruitment, staffing, and professional development. Financial management and resource planning are key responsibilities, along with the development, monitoring, and achievement of program goals and objectives. The role also includes creating and implementing policies and standards and leading quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
In addition to overseeing daily operations, the Division Manager will support and lead strategic projects and initiatives within the program. These may include representing the program on regional committees, leading quality improvement and innovation initiatives, managing intake and discharge planning processes, and guiding the implementation of technical solutions that enhance efficiency and care coordination.
Job Qualifications
Education
A Baccalaureate Degree in a health related discipline is required.
Master's degree in the applicable area is preferred.
Experience
A minimum of five (5) years clinical experience in rehabilitation within the last seven (7) is required.
Management experience is required.
