Reporting to the Provincial Court Manger, the Provincial Court Team Coordinator is an important role for the Provincial Court team as they will be responsible for maintaining the regional Provincial Court schedule including all matters that appear on the docket. They will also be responsible for daily task assignments for the team ensuring that the required staffing assignments for daily operations are met. They are also responsible to oversee client requests and provide subject matter expertise to the Provincial Court Team.

What you will do

  • Scheduling of court matters in Provincial Court;
  • Provide the team with direction as the subject matter expert;
  • Coordination of daily work assignments;
  • Preparing daily bank deposits and reconciliations;
  • Oversight of client requests and be the first level of escalation for client service issues;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Provincial Court Manager.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Need to have:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Successful completion of one (1) year post-secondary education in a related field.
  • At least six (6) years administrative or related work experience, including at least six (6) months supervisory experience.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history clearance and security clearance check.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirements are also required:

  • Occasional evening and weekend work
  • Travel throughout the region may be required

  • At least six (6) months experience in a legal environment.

Wage
$2,043.00 to $2,481.00 Biweekly based on education and experience

Work environment

  • Office location: Miramichi Courthouse, 673 King George Hwy, Miramichi
  • Office layout: secure office with individual workspaces
  • Your Team: small team of 10
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30
