Definition of Work: Working with members of the Volunteer Resources Team, this position will assist with the development and implementation of volunteer programs and volunteer recruitment including interview, reference and screening processes, onboarding/orientation of volunteers, and ensuring data quality within the volunteer database. This position will connect with community partners to promote volunteering including presentations, participate in careers days at high schools and post-secondary institutions, and perform volunteer recruitment activities at public venues and events. This position will be responsible for volunteer programming at Western LTC, Western Memorial Hospital, Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital and Bay St. George LTC home. Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of a two-year Office Administration Program which has provided training in typing, bookkeeping and office practices. Proficiency in personal computers with specific knowledge of Windows, word processing, and spreadsheets is also required.
Please note that the incumbent may be required to work some weekends and evenings as required by the employer.
