Forklift Operator - Counterbalance

Job Title: Outdoor Counterbalance Forklift Operator

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm OR 3:30pm - 12:00am

Location: Milton

Rate of Pay: $22.00/h + full benefits from day-1

Our client is seeking experienced counterbalance forklift operators for their busy lumber and building supply yard. This is a permanent role offering both day and afternoon shifts. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Some general labor duties are also part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a 10,000lb capacity counterbalance forklift safely indoors and outdoors
• Accurately pick customer orders using an RF scanner
• Load customer orders and secure items with straps or chains
• Unload deliveries from flatbed trailers
• Regularly lift 50-60 lbs
• Assist with general labor tasks as needed

Candidate Requirements:

• Valid counterbalance forklift license
• Minimum 3 years of recent, hands-on counterbalance experience
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50-60 lbs consistently
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
• Personal vehicle for commuting
• Candidates must have a valid license and personal vehicle for commuting, as the facility is not accessible by public transit.
