Egg Farmers of Nova Scotia (EFNS) represent the province's 24 licensed egg and pullet farms, who are dedicated to providing Nova Scotians with a stable supply of fresh, high quality, nutritious, locally produced eggs.
Position Overview
The Financial Services Coordinator is responsible for analyzing financial information, preparing financial reports, maintaining records and other financial activities within the not-for-profit organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all functions related to accounts payables and receivables
- Responsible for day-to-day banking, monitoring cash flow and account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
- Administrator for biweekly payroll, T4s and records of employment
- Prepare and submit remittances for group benefits, pension, and HST
- Perform data entry tasks to track quotas, fees, levies, and prices
- Participate in the preparation of annual budget
- Attend board meetings and participate on working committees as required
Qualifications
- Diploma in Accounting/Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Data entry and numeracy skills
- Proficient in MS office and data base experience, with advanced skills in excel.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Compensation
- 35-hour work week
- Starting salary between $55-65K
