We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at the Quest Regional Rehabilitation Centre; a residential care facility committed to supporting individuals.
As a member of our Environmental Services team, the Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring our facility remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and facility spaces in accordance with established protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintained, conducting regular inspections and addressing areas of concern.
- Restock supplies and consumables such as soap, paper products, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Handle and dispose of waste in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support a positive environment by always demonstrating a respectful and resident-focused attitude.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
- Perform duties in line with infection control protocols as per policies or directed by the nurse
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare or residential care setting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and respectful demeanor with a strong sense of professionalism.
- Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety standards is an asset.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Wage: $20.97
- Additional compensation for evening and weekend shifts as per the CUPE collective agreement.
