Job Type: Temporary Assignment (6-8 weeks)

Location: Glenholme, Nova Scotia

Shift: Full-time, 12-hour shifts

• Morning: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Night: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr

Position Overview:
Advantage Personnel is seeking a reliable Production Worker to support a leading fresh and frozen food operation in Glenholme, NS. This role involves assisting with picking, packing, quality control, and material handling in a cold, fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Pick and pack food products, including handling totes of berries for transfer to secondary locations within the warehouse.
• Sort and package products in freezer conditions.
• Perform basic quality control checks to ensure product standards.
• Work on an assembly line; load/unload product to and from the line.
• Operate production or packaging machinery (training provided).
• Handle materials safely, including moving totes using appropriate equipment.
• Clean and maintain work areas and equipment.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, and plant procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly (heavier assisted lifts may be team-handled).
• Comfortable working in cold/freezer conditions (-25°C to +5°C).
• Able to perform repetitive, fast-paced tasks over 12-hour shifts.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work rotating days/nights.
• Follows instructions, safety rules, and plant processes.
• Able to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Safety (steel-toe) footwear required; warm, layered clothing recommended under PPE.
• Must provide (or be able to obtain) a clean criminal background check.

Work Conditions:

• Cold freezer/warehouse environment.
• Exposure to wet or slippery surfaces in some areas.
• 12- hour shifts may include weekends depending on production demands .
