Drive Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance at Atlantic Lottery
Are you ready to lead the transformation of data into a strategic powerhouse? Atlantic Lottery is looking for a forward-thinking and hands-on Manager, Data Architecture and Governance to help lead the development and implementation of a new enterprise-wide function that enables trusted, high-quality, and well-architected data across the organization.
As a key leader, you will define how data is structured, governed, and leveraged - designing scalable and sustainable data architectures that support business growth and innovation. This high-impact position drives enterprise-wide initiatives, influences cross-functional teams, and fosters a data-driven culture across Atlantic Lottery.

Salary Band: $94,000 - $152,750 A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000 at the time of this posting. (Individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, market conditions, relevant experience, education, training and internal equity).
Work Location: Office or Hybrid option working from either our Moncton or Halifax Office (Moncton preferred)
- Onboarding/Probation: Full-time in-office for the first 6 months, based in Moncton, NB preferred.
- After Probation: You can choose to either continue working full-time in the office or switch to a hybrid model, coming into the office 2-3 times a week.
Data Architecture Leadership
- Develop and maintain enterprise data frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Align data architecture with business goals and IT strategy.
- Define data ownership, classification, and lifecycle management.
- Design data flows and integration strategies to enable trusted access.
- Partner with IT and analytics teams to evolve data platforms and infrastructure.
- Monitor performance and recommend tools to enhance capabilities.
- Establish and report on data maturity KPIs.
Enterprise Data Governance
- Lead the rollout and maintenance of a corporate data governance program.
- Establish data stewardship practices and quality management structures.
- Chair the Data Governance Council to drive accountability and alignment.
- Collaborate with Security, Risk, and Compliance to ensure regulatory adherence.
Strategic Enablement & Advisory
- Act as the enterprise subject matter expert on data architecture and governance.
- Provide thought leadership on how data can drive business performance.
- Support enterprise-wide personalization and marketing initiatives.
- Champion data literacy through training and awareness programs.
Collaboration & Culture Building
- Build strong relationships across departments and with external partners.
- Influence stakeholders to align on data priorities and strategy.
- Help instill a data-first mindset across the organization.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in data architecture, governance, or enterprise data strategy.
- At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Must be 19 years of age or older and reside in Atlantic Canada.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of data architecture tools, data quality frameworks, and metadata management.
- Proficient in data modeling, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data stack tools.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and software (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Google 365).
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., PIPEDA, PCI, ISO 27001).
- Experience with system development life cycle (SDLC), agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and ITIL frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise systems and data integration tools.
- Proven track record of implementing data governance frameworks and enterprise data architecture.

Assets (Preferred but Not Required)
- Experience in gaming, lottery, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
- Change management experience.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
- Cloud Data Architect certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
