Are you looking for the opportunity to work part-time (or more) hours in an arena environment through the fall and winter? Do you like being around sports and other community events? Do you have some availability to work evenings and weekends? Are you open to learning how to work with an ice plant, how to maintain an ice surface, and how to operate a Zamboni? If this sounds like you, please apply to work this fall/winter season at the East Hants Sportsplex!

Previous experience working in an arena environment, ice plants, and/or Zamboni operations is an asset, but not required, training will be provided.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Are mechanically inclined and can operate equipment
  • Are physically able to lift 30 pounds and can work in varying temperatures
  • Have a valid Class V Driver's License
  • Have the ability to work a schedule that could include some days, evenings, and weekends

A clean Vulnerable Sector check and Child Abuse Registry Check will be required.

Hourly rate: $24/hour
