WHO WE ARE:
The Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour is seeking an individual to join the Finance and Operations Branch as Audit and Compliance Officer in the Internal Audit unit, working in Fredericton.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a member of the Internal Audit team, the successful candidate will be responsible for a combination of the following duties: executing detailed testing in audit programs, responding to various inquiries from branches and clients, reconciliations reviews, support on-going monitoring detailed sampling in all projects and reconciling varied regulatory processes as applicable.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or GED supplemented by the successful completion of a one-year post-secondary education in office or business administration with coursework in accounting, audit or a related field, plus a minimum of four (4) years related experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate:

  • Experience in audit functions
  • Experience with Oracle enterprise systems
  • Experience in reconciliations

SALARY:
From $2,047 to $2,860 bi-weekly.
