Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional in-store experience, assisting clients with flooring selections, managing projects throughout the project life, and ensuring smooth execution from initial consultation through project completion.

Salary: Starting at $40,000 plus commission (based on experience)

Days: Monday - Saturday (two days off - Sundays + a weekday)

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize RFMS software to manage all project-related tasks, including creating quotes, work orders, purchase orders, and pick tickets.
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls on the sales floor, providing prompt and professional customer support.
  • Assist customers with product selection by offering expert guidance and custom flooring design solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through exceptional service and timely follow-ups.
  • Oversee flooring projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date with the latest product offerings, design trends, and pricing changes to provide accurate and informed recommendations.
  • Coordinate material ordering and ensure timely delivery to meet project deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, installers, and project managers throughout each phase of the project.
  • Conduct site visits when necessary to confirm project specifications and verify customer satisfaction.
  • Provide outstanding customer service on the showroom floor, guiding clients through the sales process with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Contribute to the overall appearance and organization of the showroom by managing samples, updating displays, and keeping the space clean and inviting.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, preferably within the flooring, home improvement, or interior design industries.
  • Working knowledge of project management/sales software (preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Professional, customer-first attitude with a passion for delivering high-quality service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing client needs or project requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of flooring materials, installation practices, and design principles is beneficial but not necessary, training is provided.
  • Willingness to conduct site visits and work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
