Title: Supervisor - Health Equipment Loan Program

In this role, you will:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations by assigning work, monitoring workflow, conducting quality checks, coaching staff, and supporting team engagement to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
  • Review team output against established standards, provide regular feedback, and support performance and skill development.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Monitor and resolve day-to-day operational issues and client escalations in accordance with established procedures, service standards, and client expectations.
  • Support the implementation of program goals, operational cycles, and continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Provide hands-on operational and supervisory support during periods of high volume or staff absences to ensure continuity of service.
  • Coordinate advanced equipment loan services during surge periods or staff absences, including reviewing referrals, liaising with health professionals, clients, and families, arranging deliveries, and maintaining accurate client and equipment records.
  • Prepare and contribute to operational and program reports, data audits, forecasting, and identification of service trends and issues.
  • Support depot operations through coverage as required, overdue equipment follow-ups, data corrections, and basic technology troubleshooting, with occasional travel within the Northern Health region.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualifications include a minimum of 3-5 years' experience and a 1-2 year post-secondary certification/diploma and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint is required and ability to navigate and troubleshoot multiple systems.
  • Experience leading others, supervising and coordinating the work of others and managing workloads.
  • Ability to identify, investigate and analyze problems, identify root causes and risks, and apply technical, functional and organizational knowledge to develop solutions.
  • Communication and influence skills to gather perspectives, understand needs, and present information to reach consensus, often in somewhat sensitive situations

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent travel around the region is required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
