McInnes Cooper is seeking a detail oriented and organized Database Assistant to join our Marketing and Business Development team for a full-time permanent opportunity based in our Halifax office. Our new team member will be focused on maintaining and updating database records, supporting system enhancements, and collaborating with marketing and business development teams.

As a Database Assistant on our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining, auditing and updating records, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the implementation of updates, changes, and enhancements to the system.
  • Assist in importing/exporting data and generating reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to ensure the system supports our campaigns and outreach efforts.
  • Troubleshoot basic database issues and escalate technical problems when necessary.
  • Document processes and contribute to the database usage best practices.
  • Regularly monitor and share intelligence about DEAL Cloud updates to enhance M&BD team's knowledgebase.
  • Act as the subject-matter expert for Deal Cloud.
  • Promote functionality internally across the firm.

The successful candidate will possess the following skill set:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrated writing abilities.
  • Exceptional technology skills, with proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office and a genuine interest in keeping up to date with the newest technology.
  • Previous database management experience considered a strong asset.
  • Previous related marketing experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Excel in a demanding, fast-paced team environment, be highly detail-oriented, and flexible to changing priorities.
  • A positive attitude and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
