Job Summary
Reporting to the Regional Director of the Medicine Program with a matrix reporting to the Director of the Emergency Program, this position is responsible for the management and operational leadership of Medicine Inpatients, Emergency Department, Ambulatory Treatment Unit and Dialysis Services within NL Health Services. This position is also responsible for the management of dialysis for both Bonavista and Coish place in Clarenville. The Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources, as well as the quality of services provided. Responsibilities include participating in committee work; financial management including budgeting; participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic directions and objectives as well as process improvement projects; and human resources management including performance reviews and attendance management. The Manager will liaise with other services, programs, Professional Practice Coordinators and external partners.

The Manager will work within the NL Health Services Leadership Framework with accountabilities to engage others and lead self, achieve results, develop coalitions and implement systems transformations within the assigned areas of responsibility. These include working within the Divisions lines of business, fiscal and resource stewardship, managing and developing staff, effective communication, quality and risk management and health workplace management.

Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in a health-related discipline is required. Master's Degree is preferred.

Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last seven (7) in a healthcare setting is required.
Experience in Dialysis is an asset.
Progressive leadership and management experience is required.

Knowledge and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.

Other
Current registration/licensure in the relevant professional association is required.
